Navy to Lockheed, "Not so fast!" on new warships

CNN is reporting that the US Navy has put the brakes on Lockheed Martin's production of two battleships.
The Navy demanded the 90-day halt while it reviewed significant cost overruns. One of the two, The USS Freedom, a is a littoral combat ship (designed to defend close to US shores), at a cost of $1.3 billion.
