Airbus orders for 2006 well behind Boeing

Airbus has confirmed 790 net orders for 2006.
This puts them a distant second to Boeing, which took 1,044 orders. This is the first time since 2000 that Airbus slipped behind Boeing in number of orders. Ironically, its fewer orders added up to more aircraft.
