KUKA ROBOTICS SELECTED BY TRANSBOTICS CORPORATION TO SUPPLY ROBOTICS FOR AUTOMATIC GUIDED VEHICLE (AGV) SYSTEMS

Clinton Township, Michigan — February 28, 2007 – KUKA Robotics Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of industrial robots, today announced it has been selected by Transbotics Corporation to provide robotics to work in conjunction with a new line of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV).
The KUKA robots and AGV system streamline material handling processes for many manufacturers by offering a complete solution for material handling from receiving to production to shipping. The new Automatic Trailer Loading AGV recently previewed at ProMat in Chicago, IL will be utilizing KUKA’s palletizing robots such as the KUKA KR 40 and KUKA KR 180 models to palletize and depalletize products presented via the AGV.
