Northrop Grumman has announced plans to sell all structures and materials related to a fizzled-out cruise ship program to Norwegian Cruise Line.
American Voyages Company (AVC) had commissioned Northrop Grumman to construct two 1,900-passenger vessels, but production was halted in October 2001 after AVC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Materials to be sold include the first nearly half-finished vessel structure and materials acquired by Northrop Grumman for the second vessel.
