Emirates shipping line joins INTTRA network of carriers

Parsippany, N.J., USA and Hong Kong, China, March 26, 2007 - INTTRA and Emirates Shipping Line FZE announced today that Emirates Shipping Line, the world's newest carrier, has joined the INTTRA carrier network, bringing the total number of member carriers to 23.

INTTRA is the largest e-commerce platform for the ocean industry representing 63% of the ocean freight capacity among the world's top ocean carriers. INTTRA initiates more than 165,000 container orders a week and originates over $11 billion worth of ocean freight.

Emirates Shipping Line FZE officially launched the company with its first service on 25th May 2006 and formally stated its intent of bringing cutting-edge technology to its customers worldwide. Not long afterwards Emirates began negotiations to join INTTRA's network of world-class carriers, according to Vikas M. Khan, Emirates Chairman and CEO.

"It is our mission to keep abreast of the needs of our customer base and provide our network with the highest standard of technological solutions. INTTRA provides us with the best solution in terms of data exchange with our ERP (enterprise resource planning) system. Also, INTTRA is supported by a cross section of the industry and has a long-term vision to support industry standards through a common platform," added Khan.
