May 22, 2007, Peoria, IL - Advanced Technology Services, Inc., (ATS), the industry leader in managed production equipment maintenance, industrial parts repair and innovative IT solutions is pleased to announce recognition by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) as one of the world's top 100 outsourcing service providers for 2007.
ATS' appearance on the Top 100 list comes in conjunction with the company's announcement of three new clients: NACOM – a division of the Yazaki Group, a Japanese automotive Tier 1 company. Carlisle Industries – a diversified global manufacturing company serving the construction materials, commercial roofing, specialty tire and wheel, power transmission, heavy-duty brake and friction, heavy-haul truck trailer, refrigerated truck body, foodservice, and aerospace and test and measurement industries. And O'Neal Steel – the largest privately held processor and distributor of steel and specialty metals in the United States.
"It is an honor to be named to the Global Outsourcing 100 list for the second year in a row," said Jeffrey Owens, President of ATS. "To be recognized on an international level for our services to the manufacturing industry and our commitment to make factories run better, directly reflects our core values as well as our dedication to and partnership with our customers. We are proud to be recognized by the IAOP once again, as well as to have increased our standing in the rankings from last year."
Companies included on the list come from around the world providing the full spectrum of outsourcing services including information technology and business process outsourcing, facility services, real estate and capital asset management, manufacturing, and logistics.
Companies on the list were ranked according to 18 criteria, including revenue growth, number of employees, the skills and training of their workforce, the number of technical and business certifications they have secured, the track record of their management team, and the quality of customer service. The rankings, selection process details and company profiles of all the Top 100 Global Outsourcing service providers appeared in a special advertising feature in the April 30, 2007 issue of FORTUNE® magazine.
"This announcement comes at a very exciting time for ATS," continued Owens, "as we have been engaged by three prestigious corporations; and we look forward to working with NACOM, Carlisle Industries, and O'Neal Steel to assist in their manufacturing initiatives and help enhance their productivity and profitability."
ATS has reached an agreement with O'Neal Steel to provide the full spectrum of production asset maintenance services to a second plant at its Ambridge, PA facility.
For NACOM, ATS will be handling the entire maintenance operation of its Griffin, GA-based facility.
For Carlisle Industries, ATS will provide full maintenance services including crib management and distribution center services.
"Our partnership with ATS aligns with our strategic initiatives to develop and expand our reputation as a world class engineered power transmission system provider," said Larry Groff, Carlisle Industries Plant Manager. "We are able to concentrate on building a strong, efficient company while ATS applies a strong focus to maintaining our assets, allowing us to meet marketplace demands."
