Advanced inventory methods for tracking raw materials through supply chain

Milwaukee, WI—RedPrairie Corporation, a leading consumer-driven optimization company, announced that it has rolled out new efficiencies for measuring fluids, powders, and other variable weighted materials with its warehouse management solution. The new efficiencies in the areas of receiving, picking, cycle counting, allocating, and inventory movements allow companies—specifically those in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage industries—greater ease in moving and tracking their raw material inventory from plant storage through the manufacturing process, and ultimately as it is used to create the finished product.

Through our partnership with RedPrairie, we’ve been able to deliver better results to our business.”
Another benefit of the new inventory management advances is improved brand protection in the event of a recall. RedPrairie has the ability to trace the genealogy of raw materials back to the source by tracking the lot codes and manufacturing dates of each bill of material component used in the manufacturing process.
