If he did nothing else to support his father's environmental initiatives, 24-year-old Al Gore III proved that hybrid cars are capable of high speed.
As a Reuter's story reports, the 24-year-old son of former Vice President Al Gore was arrested for drug possession on Wednesday after being stopped for driving 100mph in his hybrid Toyota Prius.
No carbon credit for him, though: at 100mph, the car would have switched over from electric to internal combustion drive.
Once he caught up with Gore III, a sheriff's deputy smelled marijuana, and found Valium, Xanax and Vicodin among other drugs in the car, without prescriptions.
