Caterpillar awards first European certificate

Bolgers, the Ireland-based fabricated sheet metal manufacturer and exporter, has become the first European fabrication supplier to be awarded a silver certificate for Caterpillar’s Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP).
The SQEP standard was introduced by Caterpillar in order to ensure international supplier quality.
“The Caterpillar Certified Supplier Award is only given to manufacturers who adhere to stringent production and quality guidelines set forth by Caterpillar,” explained Bolgers joint managing director Ian Bolger. “With this in mind, our silver certificate – the very first by a European fabrication supplier – is an outstanding achievement that we’re extremely proud of.”
Bolgers was presented with the award by Steve Ellis of Caterpillar global purchasing during a ceremony at its Smithstown Business Park site.
