Soaring sales for Coca-Cola

Soft drink maker Coca-Cola has reported a 19 per cent increase in profits for the first quarter of 2008 thanks to sales success in the international market.

The company announced a net income for Q1 of $1.5 billion (£0.8 billion).

Despite this, the firm said there was “still much more to be done, especially in [its] flagship North America marker with its challenging economic environment.”
