Closure threat for Kimball Electronics

Kimball Electronics has announced it may close its US-owned Bridgend, Wales, site and relocate to Poland, which would result in the loss of 190 jobs.
The electronic medial devices manufacturer said it was looking to consolidate its operations and had received one recommendation for a move to Poland.
A 90-day consultation period with staff at both its Bridgend site and another site in Ireland has now begun.
If the site does close, jobs are likely to be phased out over the next two years.
