Over 3,000 key manufacturing players attended the annual APICS conference held in Nashville, Tenn. from October 27 to 30.
In addition to general sessions, over 100 educational workshops were conducted, focusing on such innovative topics as customer relationship management, collaboration, demand management, global business strategies, and supplier relationship management.
“‘Fusion: Knowledge and People’ was a fitting theme for the 2002 conference where a diverse group of individuals from a variety of industries from around the world representing every function across the supply chain came together to share knowledge,” said L. Drew Rosen, APICS president. “After exploring proven business strategies and innovative solutions, the 3,000 conference attendees headed back to their jobs with the tools necessary to help their companies succeed.”
APICS, the Educational Society for Resource Management, is supplier of professional certifications, educational programs, and publications for manufacturing and service industry professionals. Founded in 1957, it has over 60,000 members from over 20,000 manufacturing and service industry companies worldwide.
