Anand Sharma, President & CEO, TBM Consulting Group
Anand has more than twenty years experience within the manufacturing industry. Prior positions include Executive Vice President at Productivity Inc. and Vice President of Operations at American Standard, prior to which he held a number of line and staff positions. Anand is author of The Perfect Engine: How to Win in the New Demand Economy by Building to Order With Fewer Resources (Free Press, 2001). Fortune magazine named him Hero of U.S. Manufacturing in 2001 and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers awarded him the 2002 Donald Burnham Manufacturing Management Award. National media regularly seek his opinions on business and the new economy and he is a frequent speaker at national conferences. He earned a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from Roorkree University, an MBA from Boston University, and advanced his studies in management at The Wharton School of Management.
Jeff Whiteacre, Value Stream/Lean Champion, Gorton's
Jeff Whiteacre's background in Financial Accounting and Operational Management provided him a smooth transition into the realm of Value Stream Management as Lean Champion for Gorton's. Touching the entire supply chain at Gorton's, Mr. Whiteacre has had direct involvement with Gorton's plants, distribution, purchasing, suppliers and service providers. With his financial background applied to Lean operating methods, Jeff now works full time within Gorton's Operations and is responsible for the training, development, and implementation of Lean throughout Gorton's entire supply chain. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA.
Gordon Hunter, Chairman, President and CEO, Littelfuse, Inc.
Gordon Hunter is Chairman, President and CEO of Littelfuse, Inc., now the world leader in the broad category of circuit protection. Since assuming the role of Chairman, President and CEO, Gordon has led the company in its "Power of One" initiative, adopting Lean and Six Sigma principles to grow the company into its global leadership position. Prior experience includes Vice President with Intel Corporation, President of EloTouch Systems and Vice President at Raychem Corporation. Mr. Hunter received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Liverpool and his MBA from London Business School.
Kevin Prouty, Sr. Director of Manufacturing Solutions, Symbol Technologies
Kevin is a Lean Champion and Efficiency guru for Shingo Award recipient Symbol Technologies. Kevin has spent his entire career in manufacturing, and prior to joining Symbol, he managed analysis and research of the automotive and heavy truck industries at AMR Research and Gartner G2 and acted as advisor to non-automotive clients on utilizing technology applications for competitive advantage in production operations. Through his research role he acquired extensive knowledge of the impact of information technology strategies on production operations, supplier management, product design, customer management, and technology infrastructure. Kevin received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University and is a Masters degree candidate in Manufacturing Systems at WPI.
John G. Smith, Sr. Vice President & COO, Ross Controls, Inc.
John G. Smith has more than 30 years experience in manufacturing. His career began in the area of finance, where he served in various management positions including Chief Financial Officer. He was promoted to Operations in 2000 where is he is involved with implementation and deployment of Lean Principles and Practices. As part of the journey, he has successfully developed a Lean Culture at Ross including the transformation of many processes in its manufacturing facilities in Michigan (a union environment) and Georgia (a non-union environment).
Andy Carlino, Founder, Lean Learning Center and Author, The Hitchhiker's Guide to Lean
Andy Carlino is a founder and partner of the Lean Learning Center and founder/partner of Achievement Dynamics. His specialties include training and education in the areas of the Toyota Production System, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen Implementation, Shop Floor Management, Control Point Standardization, Set-up Reduction, Supply Chain Management, Facilitator Development and Leadership Coaching/Development. With more than 20 years experience in real-world senior management, Andy is a nationally recognized speaker, trainer and consultant, co-author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to Lean, and he has provided numerous organizational assessments in a variety of industries.
Kenneth Veduccio, Director of Development & Manufacturing, IDS, Raytheon
Kenneth Veduccio drives continuous improvement across the Raytheon organization and is committed to world-class performance through flawless execution, on-time product delivery and customer-focused marketing. He has successfully led numerous business transformations based upon Six Sigma and Lean. Ken is a 'hands on' leader, who breaks down silos and engages the entire workforce as a leader, coach and educator. He has been with Raytheon for 28 years in various roles including development and manufacturing, engineering, product assurance, quality control, program management and operations. Veduccio holds a degree in Engineering Management and is pursuing a Masters of Management at Cambridge College.
Peter Kampf, Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager, IDS Raytheon
Peter Kampf serves as the conduit of Andover's lean journey and its importance to the Navy. Kampf has been engaged in process and engineering improvements with Raytheon since 1989, and is now Strategic Initiatives Manager for Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Operations. Kampf leads the Strategic Partnering Group at the IDS' Integrated Air Defense Center (IADC) facility, and is the point of contact for the Best Manufacturing Practices (BMP) Program.
