KYDEX Quality Manager Earns ASQ Auditor Certification
Bloomsburg, PA, USA, January 15, 2010 — KYDEX, LLC, the manufacturer of KYDEX® thermoplastic sheet, is pleased to announce that Quality Manager Bryan Ciesielski has qualified as an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ CQA).
In completing the requirements established by the ASQ certification board, Ciesielski has reached a significant level of professional recognition, indicating proficiency and knowledge in quality auditing tools and techniques, and may use the “ASQ CQA” designation on his business card and professional correspondence.
“Improving our employee skills and resources is one of the five key strategies that guide KYDEX and our customer service,” remarked Jim Medalie, the company’s president. “Bryan’s ASQ CQA designation and other certifications demonstrate his personal commitment to ongoing education and skill improvement.”
As Quality Manager at KYDEX, Ciesielski directs the training, execution, communication, and maintenance of quality policy and quality objectives for customer satisfaction, products, and manufacturing processes. He oversees the company’s ISO 9001:2000 quality management system and ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system.
Moving forward, Ciesielski’s goals are to further increase understanding of customer quality systems, to enhance customer intimacy, and to make doing business with KYDEX easy and stress free. “Our quality policy is also critical to our key strategies of developing new products, leveraging IT capabilities, and being a world-class manufacturing company,” Medalie added. “Bryan has the opportunity to significantly impact KYDEX’s long-term success through new quality initiatives.”
To sit for the CQA examination, an individual must have at least eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the CQA body of knowledge and at least three of those years must be in a decision-making position.
Ciesielski joined KYDEX in March 2009 after more than seven years in progressive quality management capacities at Leggett & Platt. An alumnus of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he also holds ASQ qualifications including Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) and Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).
