EEF has launched a new leadership and development programme to help companies train future manufacturing leaders to keep the UK at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution.

With the increasing demand for skills in manufacturing and the significant leadership gap impacting on the productivity of many businesses, EEF’s new management and skills development programme, ‘Make Great’ is aimed at helping businesses recruit, retain and develop the right skills to address the digital revolution ahead.

According to EEF research, the need to improve productivity has led to almost two-thirds of UK manufacturers increasing demand for people management, while a similar number are looking for increased leadership skills.

Companies reported that their efforts on workforce skills development is having a significant and positive impact on company productivity over the past two years.

To meet this demand one of the leading training providers in the UK, EEF has created bespoke programmes to help companies on coaching and mentoring, people management, strategic change and sustainability.

There are four key areas of expertise available to companies under the Make Great programme, which includes qualifications and courses at all levels from the Institute for Leadership Management and Chartered Management Institute:

  • Retaining and recruiting talent
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • People performance & skills management
  • Strategic change management and restructuring
