SME manufacturer Warrior Doors has doubled its turnover in two years after website investment and a new accreditation allowed it to access new markets.
Birmingham-based Warrior Doors is on course to hit £2.5m of sales this year after rebranding and refreshing its website.
The website revamp allowed the company to reach out to new markets and it now supplies security solutions to banks and high end retailers including jewellery shops as well as its traditional core clients in the social housing market.
Warrior designs, manufactures and installs its specialist doors which range from stainless steel to aluminium and fully glazed solutions.
In addition to the website investment which has boosted company marketing and enhanced its sales channels, an increase in demand has been facilitated by the acquisition of the Loss Prevention Society 1175 RS Standard.
Warrior received assistance from the Manufacturing Advisory Service to achieve this standard which provides a major advantage when selling to Critical National Infrastructure clients.
According to Brett Barratt, managing director at Warrior Doors the accreditation has so far enabled £300,000 of contracts supplying bespoke security doors for high end retailers and jewellers, and renewed its relationship with a major cash handling company.
“[The accreditation] has created a lot of interest in our products and proves that our doors can withstand even the most professional and fiercest of attacks,” said Mr Barratt.
With growth, Warrior has found the need for more capacity and recently relocated to an 18,000 sq ft manufacturing facility and showroom on the Kings Road Industrial Estate in Birmingham.
The new facility, which required a £1m investment, has doubled capacity. It will be operational by the end of March though further investment is expected for the site I order to install a state-of-the-art tube cutting laser, extra assembly jigs and a new powder coating plant.
Warrior Doors secured £200,000 of Regional Growth Funding and Business Development Programme support to help with its relocation.
The Manufacturing Advisory Service has worked with Warrior Doors for more than three years, providing strategic advice on business growth, lean production and testing.
