Following the success of the inaugural Advanced Manufacturing Summit in 2014, AusBiotech is presenting the second Advanced Manufacturing Summit, to be held 17 – 18 November 2015 in Sydney.
The Advanced Manufacturing Summit 2015 will bring together key industry, government and academic personnel to explore the future of advanced manufacturing in Australia and globally. The two-day Summit will provide delegates with valuable educational and networking opportunities.
Members of the Australian Manufacturing Forum feature strongly in this year’s speaker line up and a select group will form a panel for the first session of the conference to answer: ‘What is advanced manufacturing?’.
The panel will be moderated by long time industry journalist and founder of The Australian Manufacturing Forum networking and discussion group, Peter Roberts, and will bring together advanced SME manufactures to discuss why they are advanced, through their business models, management systems, technology, manufacturing methods and marketing and branding.
The panel will include:
1. Pat Boland, Founder, ANCA. The company is a world-leading manufacturer of CNC machine tools, with factories in Australia and China.
2. Philip Butler, Director, Textor Technologies. Textor developed the world’s first 3-D non-woven fabric and produces and largely exports millions of square metres annually from its Melbourne plant.
3. Paul Longmam, CEO, A.H. Beard. The company makes Beard, Domino and King Koil beds, licenses its technology extensively overseas and exports Australian-made beds for sale through 32 of its own shops in the Shanghai region of China.
4. Anthony Kittel, CEO of Readarc Electronics. Redarc makes electronic voltage converters and related products at a renowned plant in Adelaide and aims to be nothing short of the global benchmark in its sector.
