The Manufacturer is pleased to announce the EEF ‘Make it Britain’ national photography competition winners 2014.
Manufacturing’s creativity and diversity were celebrated at the House of Commons for as the 5th annual photography competition sponsored by Lombard.
Competition was fierce. Thank you to everyone who entered.
From over 750 strong entries, 72 inspiring images from photographers across the UK were shortlisted this year.
The winners of the photography award categories are:
The Best Professional Photographer award, sponsored by Canon
Martin Avery, from Newcastle, for his image of globe body valve at Bonds Foundry in County Durham.
Best Amateur Photographer award, sponsored by Lombard
Robert Watkins, from Warrington, for his image of a six millimetre thick perforated plate cylinder being welded into a North Sea oil line filter at Croft Filters in Warrington.
Best Young Photographer award, sponsored by The ERA Foundation
Bryony Richards, from Oakham, for her image of coloured thread being threaded together on traditional machinery at Trefriw Mill in North Wales.
Lombard/RBS Group category
Martin Howe was the winner of our Lombard/RBS Group category.
The winners were presented with certificates and snapped up a share of £5,000 worth of Canon photography equipment. Congratulations to all winners and runners-up.
