Jaguar to pounce on 2013 Goodwood Revival

Jaguar will fly the flag for Britain at the Goodwood Revival show with 30 competition Jaguar and Jaguar-powered racers set to compete during the three day event.

The event, which starts today, will see historic Jaguar cars race across the Goodwood Motor Circuit which includes C-types, D-types, E-types and Mark II saloons.

This evening will see Jaguar C-Types compete in the 90-minute Freddie March Memorial Trophy race into the dark, marking the 60th anniversary of the Goodwood Nine Hour races.

Jaguar XK140s will race in the Fordwater Trophy for production-based sports cars of a type that raced between 1955 and 1960, while its D-Types will compete in the Sussex Trophy, competing against cars from Ferrari, Maserati and Aston Martin.

The St Mary’s Trophy for 1960s saloon cars will this year be dedicated to the memory of driver, manager and Jaguar dealer John Coombs, who died last month.
