Make It In Great Britain exhibition: Expressions of interest open

Posted on 9 Dec 2011

Expressions of Interest are now open for an exhibition of British manufacturing excellence in summer 2012 that forms part of the Government’s Make it in Great Britain campaign.

The deadline for completed expression of interests is by 12.00 noon on January 6, 2012.

The campaign, which aims to improve outdated views of UK manufacturing and dispel the myth that Britain ‘doesn’t make anything anymore’, will culminate in an exhibition which celebrates the best of British manufacturing, held at the Science Museum during the Olympic and Paralympic Games time. The exhibition will highlight the successes of the manufacturing sector, show the true face of British manufacturing and encourage young people to consider a career in the industry. It will run from 24 July to 9 September 2012.

Those who wish their product or process to be considered should complete an online form at www.bis.gov.uk/makeitingreatbritain and explain what the exhibit is and how it meets the key objectives of Make it in Great Britain.

On registering interest, companies and organisations will be sent a submission pack, which will request more information about your exhibit as well as explain the themes of the exhibition and necessary timings. The closing date for completed submissions is midday 31 January.
