The new BMW 7 Series features a choice of eight customised scents created by a professional scent maker from the companies design department.
The new flagship sedan will give buyers the chance to have their car smell exactly the way they want, with the optional Ambient Air package featuring options to ionize the air or fragrance the vehicle interior with selected scents.
The scents can be controlled from the air conditioning control console or the iDrive menu, and can be chosen from four suites; Blue, Green, Golden and Authentic.
Drivers can also choose from three different levels of intensity to prevent the fragrance from becoming too overwhelming.
In addition to the eight customised scents, the BMW 7 series also features a range of other upgrades including Remote Control Parking and gesture control.
The gestures can be used for a number of functions, including controlling the volume in audio applications and accepting or rejecting incoming telephone calls. There is also the option of pairing a specific gesture with an individual choice of function.
A plug-in hybrid system will also be availbale in the BMW 740e variant and the series also features carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the body structure.
