A flurry of new roles are exepcted to be created as luxury horsebox manufacturer, Equi-Trek, moves to premises in Barnsley.
Equi-Trek, the largest manufacturer of horseboxes and trailers in the UK, has invested £2.8m to acquire the former Fox Wire Building near Stocksbridge.
The family-run firm will close its five rented locations in Meltham and Slaithwaite in West Yorkshire, and begin operations at the new 186,000 sq ft facility at the beginning of next year.

Equi-Treck currently exports horse transportation equipment all over the world, shipping products to Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and will soon begin exporting to the US.
The new factory is 50,000 sq ft larger than the previous premises, with have enough space for a showroom and a manufacturing facility.
The firm employs 130 individuas, all of whom will move to the new buiding, and is currently interviewing for the new roles in building and administration.
The 17-year-old company supplies the GB equestrian team, as well as the Queen’s estates.
Managing director, Tom Janion explained: “Moving five sites under one roof is no easy task, but this feels like the start of a new era for the company, especially now we are starting to supply to America, which could be a huge market for us.”
The move was facilitated in part by Enterprising Barnsley, which supported in the firm in securing a £283,000 grant to back the move from the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
