The shortlist has been announced for the coveted ‘Manufacturing in Action’ category, as part of this year’s The Manufacturer MX Awards.
The companies shortlisted for this years’ Manufacturing in Action award are sites members of The Manufacturer team (predominantly on the Editorial side) have personally visited over the past 12 months.
Drawn from our first-hand experiences, the shortlist comprises those who we feel exemplify the best characteristics of future-facing, progressive businesses, and in some cases were too shy to nominate themselves.
The Manufacturing in Action category is part of The Manufacturer MX Awards, which are delivered by The Manufacturer and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
The annual programme is universally acknowledged as the gold standard for bench-marking performances across 11 manufacturing categories – from ‘Innovation & Design’ and ‘Supply Chain Excellence’, to ‘Leadership & Strategy’ and ‘People & Skills’.
Many of the categories involve a detailed investigation of each entrant’s written nomination by groups of judges who visit each factory in turn to inspect processes and interview management and members of the wider workforce.
