A leading UK manufacturer of power and distribution transformers and generator equipment, Winder Power Ltd. has announced plans to expand and grow its Leeds-based operations, creating 20 new full-time positions.

The firm stated it is seeking to fill roles across the company including transformer erection and winding, substation services, and purchasing to support the delivery of national and international projects.

The new jobs, including the apprentice positions, will bolster the firm's existing 100-strong workforce.

In addition, four apprenticeship opportunities will be available as part of the expansion, which represents a significant sign of growth and development for the company.

The new jobs, including the apprentice positions, will bolster the existing 100-strong workforce before the end of the year, and will help to bring a new dimension to the company’s capabilities and its commitment to customer service.

The expansion follows a particularly successful period for Winder Power, with major contracts with Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution Ltd. (SSEPD) and the Port of Felixstowe secured in the past 12 months alone.

Specialising in the design, build, deployment and management of distribution transformers and power transformers up to 60MVA, Winder Power has a long history of serving a wide range of loyal customers in the utilities, renewable energy, and industrial sectors across the UK and internationally.
