John Burton

Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Jaguar Land Rover

John Burton is the the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for D7u platform bodyshops. He is responsible for the quality of the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport built in the two new all aluminium bodyshops. John is responsible for twelve engineers who monitor and lift the quality of the products as well as improving the processes used to build the cars. John also manages the measurement facility in the bodyshops that monitor the cars dimensions and a small tool room, both are manned on 3 shifts covering 24 hours by 28 associate staff members. Before this role John worked as a manufacturing engineer in T5 platform bodyshop that built the old Range Rover Sport and Land Rover Discovery.
