Head of Supply Chain, Jackson's Bakery
In the demanding role of Head of Supply Chain, Robin oversees several different elements of the operation at Jackson’s Bakery: heading up the despatch and distribution operation to ensure the correct delivery of bread products to customers; the purchasing of materials required in the production of bread; and the packaging and storage operation for frozen bread.
Robin joined William Jackson Food Group, of which Jackson’s Bakery is a part, in the summer of 2012 as a Special Projects Executive. He diligently performed this role for a year, learning key skills, before moving on to his current position within Jackson’s Bakery.
Before joining William Jackson Food Group, Robin was a valued member of the Armed Forces. This involved serving as an infantry officer and he succeeded in fulfilling a variety of remits during this time. Key roles included Training/Planning Officer for a company of 100 soldiers in Iraq, working in the Armed Forces’ Permanent Joint Headquarters in London as an intelligence analyst, and more recently as a mentor to an Afghan Chief of Police in Afghanistan. As part of a varied and challenging career, Robin also worked independently for 3 years as a self-starting property developer in Edinburgh.
