It's easy to assume that large manufacturing companies have all the answers they need to whatever problems come their way. Not so!
Even the biggest companies – some would say especially the biggest companies – have to seek help with complex problems that require academic rigour, or collaboration with more agile, disruptive companies – qualities they may not have the focus or resources to provide for themselves.
