Ablebox achieves FSC® and PEFC Chain of Custody Certification
Ablebox Ltd, one of the largest independent corrugated packaging manufacturing companies in the South West of England has become the latest company to successfully obtain FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) Chain of Custody Certification with leading certification body BM TRADA. This certification provides assurances that Ablebox procures packaging material from responsible, legal and traceable sources.
Chain of custody certification is the process by which certified material can be traced from the forest to the end-user. It provides proof that the product, or product line, being sold is linked to legally managed and certified forests.
Ablebox was established in 1989 and specialises in manufacturing bespoke products for manufacturers, packers and mail order companies. Their distribution network allows them to provide to local independents, nationally based companies and even internationally.
Commenting on the award, Sam Ainsworth Commercial Director said “Ablebox is committed to sourcing from responsibly managed forests and is therefore proud to demonstrate its support for sustainable forest management by being able to provide our Customers with assurances that the material used to make our products can be traced back to forests certified to a credible, international certification standard. By carrying the logo on their packaging demonstrates their commitment to this standard”.
