ZIVOR Group accelerates manufacturing with JGC Components Acquisition and announces ambitious expansion into USA by 2024.
In a bold move signalling renewed faith in Australian manufacturing, the ZIVOR Group, headed by industry leader Barney Sharma, has acquired JGC Components, the global industry leader in frontal protection systems for caravans, boats, and jet skis including the brand D-Flector.
The acquisition, handled via Maxwell & Higgs, a company under ZIVOR Group, enriches the group’s portfolio and extends their expertise in the manufacturing sector. Known for designing and developing turnkey projects for defence, oil & gas, and mining industries, ZIVOR Group’s latest move underscores its commitment to Australian manufacturing and innovation.
Barney Sharma, a well-respected professional with a diverse commercial background in automotive, defence, CRE, telecom, and logistics sectors, has taken the helm as managing director.
Mr Sharma founded the ZIVOR Group in 2014 and has consistently championed Australian manufacturing, fostering innovation and technological advancements in various industries. Joining him in this new venture are Nora Bari, appointed as Head of Engineering & Manufacturing, and Martin Reukers, who will serve as Chairman.
Ms Bari brings 23 years of manufacturing and product engineering experience from her tenure at Toyota Motor Corp Australia. Mr. Reukers, a financial industry stalwart and partner at Redconnect, adds financial acumen to the high-powered team. Scott Howell, the former managing director of JGC, will be continuing his association with the company in a role focused on product innovation engineering, ensuring that D-Flector continues to lead the market in this sector.
