Buehler Innovations for Quality Control in Manufacturing showcased at Control 2018

LAKE Bluff, IL  Buehler, An ITW Company will be presenting at the Control 2018 trade show to be held in Stuttgart, Germany from April 24 – 27, at booth 5135 in Hall 5.

The company will be demonstrating current developments from its extensive portfolio of products for metallography and hardness testing, ranging from manual to automated systems, and from sample preparation to measurement systems.

Highlights at the show will be for products for quality control in manufacturing: the user-friendly EcoMet 30 grinder-polishers, which will be shown for the first time at Control 2018, the IsoMet High Speed Pro precision cutter, the Wilson VH1102/1202 micro hardness testers and many new consumables.

Grinding and Polishing Made Easy for High Throughput

The EcoMet 30 grinder-polishers are user-friendly grinding-polishing systems that are extremely ease to handle and use. They are metal cast and are available in manual and semi-automated versions, equipped with either one or two platens.

All four types offer reliability and time-saving features which significantly reduce staff workload, and enable a corresponding increase in sample throughput. This is true particularly for labs using a dedicated machine for each sample preparation stage. Advanced cleaning features provided by these robust models also contribute significantly towards speeding up grinding and polishing processes.

Powerful Motor and Smart Cut System for a Perfect Sample

Buehler’s IsoMet High Speed Pro system is a benchtop precision cutter featuring highly intuitive operation for efficient and accurate sectioning. Its advanced design and innovative sectioning vises simplify and accelerate sample setup. Precision laser, tool-less clamping mechanism and disc movement in three axes enable fast and accurate sample alignment. Sectioning with precision and abrasive sectioning cutters can now be performed even faster, without any loss in sectioning quality.

Micro Hardness Testing with Powerful DiaMet™ Software

Wilson VH1102/1202 series micro hardness testers from Buehler are designed for Knoop and Vickers hardness tests, and are versatile, cost-efficient, and reliable solutions for hardness measurement applications in quality control and metallographic research. They are available in varying degrees of automation and allow operators to take measurements using the digital eyepiece in standalone mode, or by using an optional integrated high-resolution camera and the powerful DiaMet hardness testing software.

DiaMet also complements the very strong Wilson Hardness product line that includes the best-in-class microhardness VH3100 and VH3300, the high accuracy Rockwell 2000 and 574, and a line of Universal testers.

Metallography Consumables Designed for Sample Preparation

Buehler will be showcasing their efficient and high performance consumables for grinding, polishing, sectioning and mounting of samples. Buehler’s product portfolio covers a variety of abrasive blades, epoxy and acrylic mounting compounds (including newly launched EpoKwick FC, a market leading fast- cure epoxy) as well as grinding and polishing consumables (including newly launched magnetic backed polishing cloths).  This year Buehler is also debuting its refreshed online consumable shops for the United Kingdom, Germany and France.
