Event showcases manufacturing successes
A specialist manufacturing event designed to showcase and promote Midlands’ manufacturers is being held on Thursday 21 June at the Chateau Impney’s Regent Conference Centre outside Droitwich.
The event will see manufacturing companies exhibiting their success to an anticipated target audience of 800 regional businesses.
The event has been developed as a result of feedback from Hewett Recruitment’s clients and the Chamber of Commerce’s Manufacturing Forum, as well as input from regional businesses. Louise Hewett, Managing Director of Hewett Recruitment explains why she has spearheaded this event: “We work with our clients on a strategic level so often find ourselves discussing their future plans and aspirations as well as their business frustrations and challenges. This enables us to understand what’s really happening in the business community. Although some businesses are struggling, many manufacturing and technology businesses are doing very well. We are hearing much more about expansion plans these days. One of the biggest frustrations seems to be the negative press we hear every day in the media. The doom and gloom certainly doesn’t elevate confidence in UK plc. ‘Manufactured in the Midlands’ has been designed specifically to showcase and exclusively promote Herefordshire and Worcestershire manufacturing and technologies businesses.”
This one day event begins at 8.30 am. With a range of topical seminars on offer and key note speeches throughout the day, delegates will also be able identify opportunities with like-minded businesses. Also on the agenda is a networking lunch followed by a ‘Question Time’ session with local MPs, amongst much more throughout the day.
