TECAN, a leading provider of chemically-etched precision parts, is proud to reveal a revitalised look to mark the beginning of a new stage in its business evolution.
Neil Walker, Managing Director explains, “The last few months have proven difficult for organisations across the world, and I couldn’t be prouder of how #TeamTecan, our amazing workforce has responded. We have been operating throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, stringently adhering to guidelines, as we provide precision parts to key markets, including the Medical Industry. Now, as lockdown restrictions ease, it seems appropriate that we enter a new era as we approach our 50th birthday in September.”
Collaborating with selected companies specialising in complementary technologies under the Muon Group (Veco, Atul, Reith Laser), we produce precision components for innovative, mission- critical products. The precision micro parts we produce can be found in all kinds of everyday objects – from a clutch component in your car to parts for your phone camera. Our parts have been to the moon and the depths of the ocean and can be found in life-enhancing applications including nebulisers and low carbon vehicles.

About Tecan
From humble beginnings in a home kitchen, Tecan’s pioneering photo-chemical machining (etching) processes were developed in response to the growing demand for fine-featured, flat profile precision metal parts.
This resulted as an off-shoot from the manufacture of printed circuit boards supplying the naval fleet based on the South Coast of the UK and became the start of a rich history which has spanned almost 50 years.
Our innovative, photolithography-based capability also includes precision component forming and high-quality metal finishing. Now a part of the global Muon organisation, Tecan has seen significant investment in plant and technology over the past few years – strengthening its position as one of the World’s leading precision etching experts.
