Polar Instruments announces Polarcare for CITS to protect and future-proof investment in Controlled Impedance Test Systems
Key Facts:
• Polarcare for CITS covers accidental damage to critical components
• Reinstatement future-proofs investment in Polar Instruments’ controlled impedance test systems with an upgrade to the latest, 8th generation CITS880
• Can be purchased for new and recent models of Polar Instruments’ CITS
Beaverton OR: Polar announces Polarcare for CITS, a new maintenance and support programme for the industry standard CITS controlled impedance test system.
Polarcare for CITS enables users to extend the standard CITS warranty by providing enhanced protection against accidental damage throughout the operational life of the instrument. In addition, Polarcare for CITS provides continued technical support and software updates.
Analysis has shown that, while the standard CITS warranty offers one replacement TDR head within the first six months, even with the best ESD practices further head failures may be caused by accidental damage. Each 12-month Polarcare warranty provides unlimited replacement TDR heads, in addition to technical support, software updates and an option to upgrade from earlier CITS models to the latest CITS880 model.
Martyn Gaudion, CEO, Polar Instruments Ltd., explains: “Polarcare is a cost-effective alternative to the unplanned expense of accidental damage to the TDR front-ends. It also safeguards and future-proofs the investment that customers have made in Polar Instruments’ controlled impedance test systems, ensuring that they will continue to benefit from state-of-the-art signal integrity tools both at the design stage and during PCB fabrication.”
Polarcare can be purchased for both new and recent CITS models. For older units attractive trade-in deals are available. More information:
