Job Title: Principal Policy Analyst

Company: Cambridge Industrial Innovation Policy, IfM Engage

Tell us a bit about yourself. This can include telling us what fires you up about the job you do, your professional achievements, your career highlights. What inspires you? What attracted you to pursue a career in manufacturing? Is there anything else you’d like to say about either your job or UK manufacturing?
I have 20 years of experience in policy and economic analysis. As Principal Policy Analyst at IfM Engage, University of Cambridge, I inform policymaking on industrial development and innovation. I have collaborated with diverse international organisations and government agencies, including the DBT, Innovate UK and UNIDO. A central focus of my work is addressing women’s underrepresentation in manufacturing, a cause close to my heart. I am a founding member of the Women in Manufacturing UK initiative and serve on its Steering Committee and as Chair of the Policy and Research Working Group. Our recent achievements include contributing evidence to the UK Industrial Strategy and developing a framework to support a more inclusive manufacturing sector. This framework offers actionable recommendations for businesses, trade associations and government.
