Creative advertising agency, The Mill, has created the Blackbird, the first fully adjustable car rig that allows car companies to create photoreal CGI cars for advertisements without needing a physical car on location.
Created in collaboration with JemFX, Performance Filmworks and Keslow, the Blackbird tackles the two biggest issues facing automotive advertising: car availability and model revisions.
In order to make the ad team’s job easier, the Blackbird car rig can adjust its length by up to four feet and its width by up to 10 inches. It can also change wheels and alter its suspension to mimic basically any chasis design.
