Mitsubishi Electric on building efficient solutions and lowering its own footprint

Martin Fahey, sustainable solutions manager for Mitsubishi Electric living environmental systems in the UK, discusses Mitsubishi Electric’s ‘Green Gateway’ philosophy.

Living environmental systems develops and manufactures products that control internal environments.

The reason why Mitsubishi Electric believes it is important as a business to be environmentally sustainable, is that all of its solutions when packaged together go into buildings and buildings require and consume around half of all generated energy.

Mitsubishi Electric are becoming a sustainable business by putting a lot of effort into making sure its own footprint is as low as possible. Green Gateway is its philosophy and it is the name the company gives for its journey towards becoming more sustainable.
