Rossi celebrates Yamaha’s 60th anniversary at Goodwood 2015

Nine-time MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi helped Yamaha celebrate its 60th anniversary last week with a special guest appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Specially invited by Lord March, owner of Goodwood Estate, Rossi¬†traveled straight from the Dutch GP, where he won his third race of the season, to make his and Yamaha’s debut at the¬†famous event.

Yamaha Motor showcased its celebrated racing DNA at the event with a lineup of historic roadracers, including the Yamaha RD56 Grand Prix two-stroke and YZR500 (0W23), guided respectively by motorsport legends Phil Read and Giacomo Agostini, and the company’s celebrated 2015 model, the YZR-M1 MotoGP.

Nine-time world champion Rossi tackled the iconic 1.16-mile Hillclimb on his specially colored YZR-M1, delighting a crowd of race fans and motor enthusiasts.
