Taranis, the stealthy unmanned combat vehicle demonstrator, had its maiden flight last August. As the most advanced aircraft ever built in the UK, it took off from an undisclosed location under the command of BAE Systems’ test pilot Bob Fraser.
The demonstrator made a perfect take off, rotation, ‘climb out’ and landing on its first flight. A number of other test flights have now taken place.
