Thrust WSH, with record breaker Richard Noble OBE at the helm, are in the early stages of a water speed world record attempt. But the first, vital step of the project is an education programme linked to the science and technology used for the boat.
Designing a controllable and safe craft at speeds of 450mph is the “impossible” challenge. The team can only achieve this by attracting the best possible people. The skills landscape must first be assessed and analysed, focussing on the problems that exist and identifying where the gaps are.
In collaboration with partners, including us at The Manufacturer, a survey has been launched to help answer these questions and ensure that the education programme is the best possible fit for the educational needs of the sector.
