A short video looking at UK youth unemployment in the UK. It shows how employment rates for young people (16 to 24) not in full-time education (NEET) were similar to people aged 22 to 64 from 1992 to 2004.
Since 2004 the employment rate for young people has fallen while the rate for those aged 22 to 64 is fairly similar.
Young people are working mainly in sales or customer service jobs or elementary occupations such as bar staff, waiters and waitresses.
