Tata has announced the appointment of Dr. David Landsman OBE as director of Tata, replacing the retiring Syed Anwar Hasan.
Mr Landsman will join Tata after a career in the British diplomatic service, where he served both domestically and abroad.
His stint included ambassador rules to Albania and most recently, Greece, a role he relinquished last January.
His new role will include overseeing operations at an organisation providing support to 19 Tata companies across the UK.
Among them include Tata Steel; Jaguar Land Rover; TCS; Tata Global Beverages (including Tetley Tea); Tata Chemicals and Taj Hotels.
Mr Hasan, who will step down officially from October 2013, has been in the role since 1999.
