Drinks maker AG Barr has reported a satisfactory increase in revenue for the first quarter of 2008, but with some concern over the possibility of a poor summer to come.
Company sales for the 13 weeks from 26 January are calculated to have risen four per cent each year.
The firm, which makes Irn-Bru and D ‘n’B drinks, said that “trading in May [had] seen the benefit of some improved weather”, but that it continues “to assume we will experience average weather conditions across the summer this year.”
