Ainscough Industrial acquires Seward Wyon

Specialist engineering firm Seward Wyon Ltd has been acquired by Ainscough Industrial Group Ltd, in a transaction managed by international M&A advisor BCMS.

Seward Wyon Ltd is a mechanical and structural engineering and design company, specialising in bespoke engineering solutions across a range of sectors including civil engineering, ports, food processing, petrochemical, power, manufacturing and offshore industries.

The company is headquartered at Kelston, Bath, and also operates its own fabrication facility at Speedwell, Bristol, and a depot at Middlesborough.

International M&A advisor BCMS worked with the shareholders of Seward Wyon Ltd to prepare the company for acquisition and negotiate the best deal possible. BCMS assessed the global market place for engineering companies, identifying organisations in the UK, Europe, the USA and Asia that could potentially acquire the business. Following, negotiations Ainscough Industrial Group Ltd submitted the most attractive proposal for the business.

The acquirer, Ainscough Industrial Group Ltd, specialises in factory, plant and equipment relocation, commissioning, decommissioning, dismantling, heavy / technical lifting, transportation and asset management solutions. The Ainscough Industrial Group, based in Standish near Wigan, employs over 200 full time staff and enjoys revenues upwards of £30m annually.
