An invitation to Apprenticeships: Building Skills for Business With guest of honour, John Hayes MP, Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning 08:00 - 12.00 Wednesday 6th July 2011 EEF, Broadway House Tothill Street, London SW1H 9NQ
Manufacturers’ organisation EEF is pleased to invite you to join us at a morning event, including workshops with EEF and the Apprenticeship Ambassadors Network, to learn more about apprenticeships and gain practical advice on how they can help your business.
With the government having recently announced funding to support an extra 50,000 additional apprenticeships there has never been a better time to consider them as part of your workforce development strategy. And even if you already employ apprentices, you may not have considered how they might benefit other parts of your business.
At this event you will hear from the Minister, John Hayes MP, with responsibility for the government’s apprenticeship policy, as well as Christine Gaskell, Member of the Board for Personnel, Bentley Motors who will highlight Bentley’s very successful apprenticeship story and the benefits the company enjoys as a result. There will be an opportunity to meet and network with other companies and representatives from the Further Education sector and colleges in your area, as well as a series of interactive workshops where you can quiz industry experts about some of the practical implications of taking on apprentices. Breakfast will be provided.
Places are limited so early booking is recommended. You can confirm your place or find out more information by emailing Rose O’Garro, [email protected].
