ASG Group’s mission to attract more women into manufacturing

ASG Group, a Manchester-based collection of aerospace companies in the with more than 150 machine tools across its seven sites is proud to embrace the values of International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8th every year. The company recognises the importance of promoting gender equality and women's empowerment in the workplace and beyond.

As part of its commitment to gender diversity and inclusivity, ASG Group has implemented various policies and initiatives that support the advancement of women in the aerospace industry; including encouraging and supporting women to pursue careers in aerospace through mentoring, training, and networking opportunities, ensuring gender balance in recruitment, selection, and promotion processes, and eliminating gender bias and discrimination and offering flexible working arrangements to enable women to balance work and family responsibilities.

Sasha Edge, Director of ASG AMF Engineering in Birkenhead, part of the growing ASG Group said: “The sector continues to lament the lack of skills in the industry coming through and the reality is, manufacturers need to do more to tap into the local talent pool and we’re making a strong call to action to talented individuals to seek an exciting career in the aerospace industry with a world class employer.”
