Following on from last year’s successful launch event, Autodesk today held its Digital Prototyping Forum at Aston Villa football stadium, Birmingham.
Hosted by Fifth Gear’s Vicki Butler-Henderson, this year customer speakers included Parker Hannifin and Aston Martin. Autodesk’s Keith Perrin covered research and development and what we can expect to see in the future. Watch this space later in the month for a big announcement from Autodesk.
A number of technical break-out sessions covered amongst other things Inventor, Simulation, CFD, Data Management and the new Suites were also held. In addition discussion of the cloud and its impact on the idea of the limitation of computing power as linked to Moores Law.
According to Mikael Lowenhielm, PR Manager for Autodesk Northern Europe, Cloud is proving to be “an enabler for many companies. Computing power is no longer a limiter due to the availability of infinite computing. We want to continue to embrace that.”
