Ian Robertson, chief executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has been appointed sales and marketing director for BMW Group.
He becomes the first British member of the BMW board of directors, replacing Stefan Krause, who will be taking up a new post as chief financial officer of Deutsche Bank.
