BAE Systems is pushing for a review of the Serious Fraud Office’s (SFO) abandoned investigation into allegations that the company entered into a fraudulent arms deal with Saudi Arabia.

Following the High Court ruling that the SFO acted unlawfully in dropping the inquiry, BAE Systems chairman Dick Olver has now called for a review of the original case. He urged the SFO to seek legal advice to discover whether or not a successful prosecution could be brought against the aerospace firm, in a bid to avoid further damage to its reputation.
