Helena Sans joins the Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics (MTL) team from the Barclays Retail & Wholesale Corporate Banking team where, as an industry director, she relationship-managed medium and large businesses for the past two and a half years, providing specialist banking services to UK retailers and wholesalers as part of the leadership team.

Sans has more than 20 years corporate banking experience, with over 10 years spent in various specialist debt financing roles, covering small and mid-cap corporate and leverage business up to large corporate clients and public limited companies.

During this time, she worked across both the Corporate and the Investment Bank.

Sans said: “In a world of fast-paced technological change, it is an exciting time to be working in the UK manufacturing, transport and logistics sectors and supporting our clients in these key industries of the UK economy.

“I look forward to working with the team as we focus on successfully providing outstanding service to our clients as we work with them to help them achieve their goals.”

Sans replaces Mike Rigby who, after six years as the face of Manufacturing for Barclays, has taken up a new role as Head of Business Services within Barclays Corporate Banking.  In his new position, Mike will lead a team providing lending and relationship banking support to facilities management, business process outsourcing (BPO), recruitment, and payment services businesses.

In Mike’s final article as Head of Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics, he gave an overview of the changes he’s seen over the past decade and looks ahead to what the future may hold. You can read his thoughts here.
