Boeing warned its customers to expect delays in the delivery of 787 Dreamliners as a result of the ongoing investigation into the aircraft’s safety.
In January, an incident involving a battery catching fire and another causing an emergency landing led to the grounding of the entire fleet of 787s around the world.
Last week US authorities said Boeing would be allowed to perform test flights to assess the performance of the batteries.
UK’s Thomson Airways is one of the customers awaiting deliveries of the 787. It was expecting its first Dreamliners at the end of this month. New delivery dates are yet to be given.
So far, 50 787 aircraft have been delivered.
